Lucid Dream Remake 2: A Disappointing Experience

After a three-year wait since the last update, I returned to play Lucid Dream Remake 2, hoping for an improved experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. The game still has many issues that prevent it from reaching its full potential.

One of the main problems is the lack of content. Despite being in development since 2017, there's still very little to play through. While this may seem promising, the game's linearity and limited choices make it feel like a chore rather than an engaging experience.

Another issue I have with Lucid Dream Remake 2 is its poor storytelling. The writing is often robotic and lifeless, with characters acting out of character and situations feeling forced. For example, the main character comes across as mentally disabled, while his sister and mom behave strangely and without any clear motivation.

The game's female characters are also underwhelming. While Lissane is certainly attractive, Astrid, the milf character, is mediocre at best. The renders are nice, but the dialogue is unimpressive.

Despite these issues, I do have some hope for the future of Lucid Dream Remake 2. The writing does improve in later stages of the game build, suggesting that someone is finally paying attention to proofreading and logic. However, this is not enough to redeem the game's many flaws.

Overall, my experience with Lucid Dream Remake 2 has been disappointing. While it shows promise, it still needs significant work before it can be considered a quality visual novel or game. I hope that the developer will take my feedback into consideration and make meaningful changes in future updates.
